The Frum Founders Foundation is a non-profit ESO (entrepreneurial support organization) and Human-Security Social-Impact (HSSI) organization based in Bergen County, NJ. Our mission is to help the underrepresented group (URG) of young men and women from the marginalized Jewish Yeshivah ("Ultra-Orthodox") community transition professionally into the high-tech startup economy, become self-sufficient, and achieve economic mobility and financial security. Frum Founders will work with the New Jersey Career Impact Bonds (CIBs) HESSA Pay It Forward Program (http://njpayitforward.org) and offer vocational training, coding and business administration courses, job placement services, accelerator programs, founder and investor networking events, and a business development "Keiretsu" network.

(The Yiddish word "Frum", pronounced "fro͝om" / "frʊm" as in "book", is derived from the German word "Fromm", an adjective describing a person as "religiously devout". The logo and motto of the organization are based on Psalms 1:3 - "They shall be like a tree planted on a water delta, which shall yield its fruit in season, whose foliage shall not wither, and which shall prosper in all its endeavors".)

Many Yeshivah graduates have experience with Jewish studies but have had limited exposure to coding and technology, or to the entrepreneurial and career opportunities that can be available to them through the "startup economy". Frum Founders intends to help non-professional young members of the Jewish Orthodox community become self-sufficient and contribute to society by combining the inductive reasoning skills they have been taught in Yeshivah with the innovative technological and entrepreneurial skills they will acquire and develop with the help of the Frum Founders organization.

The #FrumPass Initiative:

Talent exists in everyone regardless of background. As more companies see the importance of being inclusive and are working hard to diversify their talent-pool, #FrumPass serves to connect the marginalized Frum community with startup funding and employment opportunities because inclusivity brings out the best in everyone. Participating employers tag their job postings and listings with #FrumPass, making it easier for potential employees to find inclusive workplaces.

Frum Founders was created with the intention of emulating in the USA what www.Kivun.org.il*, Keren-Kemach.org*, MeGo.org.il*, and www.KamaTech.org.il* have been doing with great success for the Ultra-Orthodox community in Israel.

(*Frum Founders is not affiliated with Kivun, Kemach, MeGo, or KamaTech.)
